The short answer
mRNA vaccines are a type of vaccine that uses messenger RNA. The best known are the COVID-19 vaccines made by Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna. People who describe themselves as mRNA-free chose not to take those vaccines. Their reasons vary: some are personal, some are religious, some are about informed consent or bodily autonomy. mRNAfree.me does not ask anyone to explain or defend their reasons.
Not the same as mRNA-free food
You may also see "mRNA-free" on beef, eggs or other farm products, where sellers use it to describe how their animals were raised. That is a different topic. mRNAfree.me is not a food label or a shop; it is a community for people.
How mRNAfree.me uses the term
- Members declare their own status. Each profile shows the member's own answer. We do not ask for medical records or proof, and we never will.
- It is a shared starting point, not a test. The site exists so people who made this choice can meet for dating, friendship and community without the choice getting in the way.
- Respect goes both ways. Our community rules ask members to be honest and respectful, including toward people who made different choices.
What it does not mean
mRNAfree.me is a social community. It does not give medical advice, and nothing on the site is a substitute for talking to a health professional you trust. Members are free to share their own experiences, but decisions about your health are yours to make with the information and advice you choose.
